The effect of maternal alcohol consumption on fetal growth and preterm birth

This study investigated the relationship between alcohol use during pregnancy and the size of babies in Western Australia. The authors found that large amounts of alcohol use can lead to smaller birth weights and the risk of the baby being born before its due date.
