‘We do what we can as soon as we can’ Alcohol and Other Drug workforce perspectives on preventing and responding to PAE

To provide recommendations for AOD services to reduce the harms of PAE, interviews were conducted with social workers to indicate a significant appreciation of the psychological complexities related to substance misuse in pregnancy.

Maternal bonding, negative affect, and infant social-emotional development: A prospective cohort study

Prenatal alcohol and tobacco use and the risk of depression in offspring at age of 17 years: findings from the Raine Study

Are antenatal interventions effective in improving multiple health behaviours among pregnant women? A systematic review protocol.

Maternal behaviours in pregnancy associated with adverse pregnancy, birth and health outcomes include tobacco smoking, poor nutrition, alcohol consumption and low physical activity. These behaviours are referred to as the SNAP risk factors. In this study the effect of interventions addressing multiple SNAP behaviours was examined.
