Paediatricians' knowledge, attitudes and practice following provision of educational resources about prevention of prenatal alcohol exposure and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder

This study aimed to assess the knowledge, attitudes and practice of paediatricians in Western Australia in relation to fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) and alcohol consumption in pregnancy, following an education program. Result showed almost 30% of participants said the resources had helped change their practice, but only 21% routinely asked about alcohol use when taking a pregnancy history.
