Recording a history of alcohol use in pregnancy: an audit of knowledge, attitudes and practice at a child development service

This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of alcohol documentation in a Child Development Service (CDS) and the knowledge, attitudes and practice of health practitioners.The authors concluded there was a gap in clinical practice with health practitioners not asking and/or recording information about alcohol use in pregnancy, though most surveyed welcomed any new approach that would help them to change their practice.
