PhD Title: The Alert Program® Study: development and evaluation of an intervention to improve the self-regulation and executive functioning skills of Australian Aboriginal primary school children with a focus on fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD)


Summary
This project aims to:

  • Modify, implement and evaluate a school curriculum version of the Alert Program®.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of an eight-week Alert Program® curriculum to improve the self-regulation and executive functioning skills of children attending primary school in the Fitzroy Valley.
  • Document a sustainable and culturally appropriate method of implementing the Alert Program® in Fitzroy Valley schools.
